Job summary

The Hawk Group is seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Administrator to support the commercial success of a major capital project. You will administer the full lifecycle of contracts from award through closeout, coordinating with Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Legal, and external contractors.

You will mitigate commercial risk, review invoices and change orders, and help ensure project milestones, budgets, and reporting are met, while building strong working

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Law, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of contract administration experience supporting engineering, construction, mining, industrial, or major capital projects.
  • Experience administering EPC, EPCM, construction management, or similar project contracts.
  • Experience reviewing contract changes, contractor invoices, payment applications, and claims.
  • Professional certifications such as CCCM, CFCM, CIPS, PMP, or similar are a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the full lifecycle of assigned contracts, from contract award through closeout.
  • Support contract development, negotiations, amendments, and commercial documentation.
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, schedules, budgets, quality, and reporting requirements.
  • Manage contract changes, including reviewing, negotiating, documenting, and processing change orders.
  • Review contractor invoices and payment applications for contractual compliance and accuracy.
  • Partner with Project Controls to evaluate cost impacts, schedule changes, forecasting, and commercial reporting.
  • Assist in resolving contractor claims, disputes, and other commercial issues.
  • Maintain contract records, critical milestones, insurance documentation, warranties, and other key project documentation.
  • Develop and improve contract administration processes, templates, and standard workflows.
  • Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and vendors.

Job description

Hawk is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Contracts Administrator to support the commercial success of one of the world’s largest undeveloped gold deposits. This position plays a critical role in administering contracts that support major capital projects, ensuring contractors meet their contractual obligations while protecting the Company’s commercial interests.

Working closely with Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Legal, and external contractors, you’ll help drive project success by managing contract administration, mitigating commercial risk, and supporting disciplined project execution from contract award through closeout.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong understanding of commercial contract administration, risk management, and procurement practices.
  • Experience reviewing contract changes, contractor invoices, payment applications, and claims.
  • Professional certifications such as CCCM, CFCM, CIPS, PMP, or similar are a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
