Job summary

Eastern Air Express is expanding its flight training program and seeking a Contract Ground Instructor – Flight Operations for 737 operations in Miami, FL. You will lead classroom and simulator instruction, align with FAA requirements, and coordinate with pilots, external vendors, and the Chief Pilot.

The role reports to the Manager of Flight Operations Training and requires 3+ years in flight operations with turbojet aircraft, plus the ability to travel and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant Aviation field preferred.
• Airline Transport Pilot Certificate - Multiengine Land - B737 Type Rating.
• Flight Instructor Certificate - Aircraft Multi-Engine Land - Instrument Airplane preferred.
• Three (3)+ years in Flight Operations with large turbo jet aircraft; international experience preferred.
• Must pass two-year drug/alcohol background check, pre-employment drug test, CHRC.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to FAA and company training programs for delivery and completion of lesson plans.
• Delivers training for initial, recurrent, hazardous material, transition, and upgrade events.
• Completes and submits student training records and certifications after each lesson.
• Updates pilot qualification records so daily assignments are compliant.
• Provides training records to Crew Records to ensure regulatory compliance.
• May operate Part 91 flights to various locations when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Chief Pilot or Training Manager.
