Job summary

Qualifications

• Familiar with PACS workflow and radiology safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce emergent and routine diagnostic images with fixed and portable X-ray.
• Produce routine and emergent diagnostic images with CT Room.
• Adjust exposure settings for proper image acquisition.
• Adjust patient positioning to obtain best images while minimizing exposure (ALARA).
• Process images in PACS for Radiologist review.
• Complete exams per Radiologist protocols.
• Document, charge, and process with electronic medical records.
• Schedule patients for X-ray, CT, MRI, US, DXA, and Holter Monitor.
• Inform and assist patients with contrast media administration for CT exams.
• Involved with quality control concerning equipment, radiation safety, and patient safety.
• Ensure that exams are completed in timely and correct manner.
• Provide Customer Service to patients and staff.

Hiring for CT Technologist in Hot Springs , SD

Hot Springs, United States

The CT/X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards as established by radiologist governing and professional bodies.

Pay Rate

$2680 total weekly gross - $67/hour($29/hour W-2 taxable , $38/hour non taxable stipend)

Essential Functions:

• Produce emergent and routine diagnostic images with fixed and portable X-ray.
• Produce routine and emergent diagnostic images with CT Room.
• Able to adjust exposure settings for proper image acquisition.
• Adjust patient positioning in order to acquire the best images based on anatomical structures. Adjust table and radiation beam to minimize radiation exposure to maximum patient protection (ALARA).
• Process images in PACS for the Radiologist.
• Complete exams per Radiologist protocols.
• Document, charge, and process with electronic medical records.
• Schedule patients for appointments in X-ray, CT, MRI, US, DXA, and Holter Monitor.
• Inform and assist patients with contrast media administration for CT exams.
• Involved with quality control concerning equipment, radiation safety, and patient safety.
• Ensure that exams are completed in timely and correct manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Preferred Experience: 1 year experience working as a CT technologist.

Technical Skills:

Demonstrates skills and behaviors indicative of an adequate working knowledge of and clinical proficiency in radiographic procedures, principles of radiation physics, and human anatomy and physiology.
