Job summary

Workiy is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a large-scale application modernization and business transformation initiative, replacing legacy systems with a unified administration platform.

The role involves gathering and validating requirements, documenting business processes, conducting fit-gap analysis, supporting data migration, coordinating testing, and facilitating organizational change readiness with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including 3–6 years in modernization projects.
• Experience with large-scale modernization and legacy system replacement.
• Knowledge of mainframe systems is a plus.
• Proven ability to solicit, document and validate business requirements.
• Strong written and oral communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with data migration, mapping, conversion, validation, and readiness activities.
• Experience creating test strategies, plans, cases, and monitoring test execution.
• Examples of recent Senior BA projects in last two years.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a large-scale application modernization and business transformation initiative involving the replacement of legacy motor vehicle registration and driver management systems with a unified administration platform. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, delivery teams, business representatives, and technical stakeholders to gather and validate requirements, document business processes, perform fit-gap analysis, support data migration, coordinate testing activities, and facilitate organizational change readiness.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education (2+ year program) in business, computer science, or a related field from a recognized institution. Professional certifications are an asset.
• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including 3- 6 years of complex, large-scale modernization projects.
• Experience/knowledge of Mainframe systems would be an asset.
• Describe experience in soliciting, documenting and validating business requirements.
• Describe experience with stakeholder engagement, business process transformation and change management. This should include how the resource demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
• Describe data migration experience supporting data mapping, data conversion, data validation, reconciliation, and migration readiness activities.
• Describe experience preparing test strategies / test plans, test cases; executing test cases/scripts, and experience monitoring /controlling test plan execution.
• Provide examples of recent successful projects (within the last two years) whereby the identified resource worked as a Senior Business Analyst.
