You will follow infection control protocols, protect patient privacy, and promptly report changes in condition to the care team. The role emphasizes strong communication, attentiveness, and calmness in high-stress situations, with BLS certification required within 14 days of hire and strict adherence to HIPAA and facility

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience as a patient sitter or similar role in healthcare.
• Ability to maintain continuous patient observation and respond to safety concerns.
• Strong verbal communication with patients and healthcare team.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations.
• BCLS certification within 14 days of hire required.

Responsabilités

• Observe and monitor assigned patients to ensure safety.
• Maintain continuous visual observation with the patient.
• Follow infection control precautions and proper PPE usage.
• Ensure a clean and safe patient environment and handle waste per policy.
• Report safety hazards or changes to the RN immediately.
• Assist with non-clinical tasks to reduce anxiety.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
