Job summary

Foresight Energy in Connecticut is seeking a Continuous Miner Operator to operate a mining machine, gather coal, and feed shuttle cars while maintaining safe, efficient operations.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience and current Underground MSHA Experienced Miner Training. The successful candidate will monitor equipment, perform routine maintenance, and adhere to company and federal regulations. Foresight Energy offers strong wages and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operate miner to gather coal and convey it to shuttle cars or other haulage equipment
• Determine appropriate locations for operations or installations
• Reposition miner to make additional holes or cuts
• Drive miner into position at working face
• Observe and listen to equipment operation to detect binding or stoppage of tools or other malfunctions
• Monitor extraction operations
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to miner

Compensation at an attractive hourly rate of $35.19.
