Job summary

Foresight Energy is seeking an experienced underground maintenance specialist to support mine operations. The role involves reviewing permissibility requirements, splicing and troubleshooting underground cables, and servicing face equipment to fit the mining cycle.

You will read electrical prints and perform precision maintenance across chain, crawlers, and safety systems. The ideal candidate holds MSHA Electrical Certification and Illinois Electrical Certificate with 2+ years of underground

Qualifications

• 2+ years of underground experience.
• MSHA Certified Electrical Card holder and Illinois Electrical Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Review & understand permissibility requirements.
• Proper splicing & troubleshooting techniques for underground cables.
• Service all face equipment to fit in mining cycle.
• Read electrical prints for equipment.
• Perform chain & crawler maintenance.
• Proper cribbing and blocking techniques.
• Operate all face equipment.
• Maintain CO monitor & communications.
• Troubleshoot & install leaky feeder & fiber optic cables.
• Fire suppression testing.
• Downshift? change major components on all equipment.
• Understand and service longwall mining equipment.
• Understand basics around CAT CST system.
• Fix sensors on shield electrics & troubleshoot electrics.
• Grease all appropriate components.
• Understand the tailgate tension cylinder and correct operation.
• Change backflush filter and water pump filters.

Compensation at an attractive hourly rate of $36.23. In addition, there's potential to earn various bonuses based on safety, production metrics, and attendance.
