Qualifications

• 2+ years of underground experience.
• MSHA Certified Electrical Card holder & Illinois Electrical Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand permissibility requirements.
• Proper splicing and troubleshooting techniques for underground cables.
• Service all face equipment to fit in mining cycle.
• Read electrical prints for equipment.
• Perform chain and crawler maintenance.
• Proper cribbing and blocking techniques.
• Operate all face equipment.
• Maintain CO monitor and communications.
• Troubleshoot and install leaky feeder and fiber optic cables.
• Fire suppression testing.
• Downshift or change major components on all equipment.
• Fix sensors on shield electrics and troubleshoot electrics.

• Review & understand permissibility requirements

• Read electrical prints for equipment
• Perform chain & crawler maintenance
• Proper cribbing and blocking techniques
• Operate all face equipment
• Maintain CO monitor & communications
• Troubleshoot & install leaky feeder & fiber optic cables
• Fire suppression testing
• Downshift ? change major components on all equipment
• Fix sensors on shield electrics & troubleshoot electrics
• Grease all appropriate components
• Change backflush filter and water pump filters

Requirements

• 2+ years of underground experience
• MSHA Certified Electrical Card holder & Illinois Electrical Certificate
