Job summary

Jensen Infrastructure seeks a Training Manager to design and deliver the company-wide JOS training curriculum and coach Lean facilitators across its plants. You will facilitate multi-day Kaizen events, mentor teams, and advance continuous improvement across manufacturing sites.

The role requires hands-on CI experience, Lean Six Sigma knowledge, and ability to travel to Jensen facilities. A Bachelor’s in engineering or a related field is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or related field.
  • Significant hands-on manufacturing and CI experience with Lean principles.
  • Experience developing and delivering Lean training for wide audiences and coaching leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean tools: 5S, Standard Work, Gemba, A3, VSM, Heijunka, Kanban, visual/daily management.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred, Black Belt strongly preferred, Train-the-Trainer preferred.

  • Delivering role-appropriate training from Lean fundamentals to advanced problem-solving.
  • Building a Lean skills matrix and tracking training, gaps, and recertification.
  • Coaching Lean champions, process owners, and leaders on Lean and Six Sigma projects.
  • Partnering with Operations and HR to create development pathways and succession planning.
  • Supporting CI initiatives through shop-floor engagement and KPI visuals.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…
  • Developing, implementing, and continuously improving the company-wide JOS training curriculum, including standardized presentations, exercises, demonstrations, job aids, and visual training materials.
  • Delivering role-appropriate training from Lean fundamentals through advanced problem-solving and continuous improvement methods, while evaluating effectiveness and adjusting the curriculum as needs evolve.
  • Building and maintaining a company-wide Lean skills matrix, defining competency and qualification standards by role and level, and partnering with Human Resources to track training, gaps, follow-up, and recertification requirements.
  • Coaching Lean champions, process owners, supervisors, managers, and plant leaders, while mentoring individuals and teams through Lean and Six Sigma projects and multi-day Kaizen events.
  • Partnering with Operations, Plant Leadership, and Human Resources to create progressive development pathways that support career advancement, succession planning, and the growth of high-potential employees.
  • Supporting plant and corporate continuous improvement initiatives through shop-floor engagement, KPI and visual-management practices, assessments, audits, Kaizen follow-up, and systems that sustain implemented improvements.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Significant hands-on manufacturing and continuous improvement experience, including demonstrated success implementing Lean principles and standardized Lean systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering Lean training for audiences ranging from front-line employees to executives, facilitating multi-day Kaizen events, and coaching and mentoring employees and leaders.
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean tools and practices, including 5S, Standard Work, Gemba, A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Heijunka, Kanban, visual and daily management, flow, takt time, and waste elimination.
  • Strong knowledge of Six Sigma, structured problem-solving, and root-cause analysis; Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred, with Black Belt strongly preferred, and Train-the-Trainer certification or experience is also preferred.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, interpersonal, communication, influencing, and organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, adapt communication across all organizational levels, and travel regularly to Jensen manufacturing facilities.
