Hyperion Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our Arlington Heights, IL our team. There will be limited travel required to our New Jersey site (1 week per month). Reporting to the Arlington Heights General Manager, this position plays an integral part on the team by acting as a strategic leader responsible for driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. This role focuses on optimizing processes, enhancing efficiency, and improving quality across all business functions. The ideal candidate will bring experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies, as well as strong leadership skills to align teams toward achieving organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Program Development and Strategy:

Create and establish the strategic vision and documentation required for a successful and sustainable Continuous Improvement Program.

  • Leadership and Team Mentorship:

Lead cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and execute process improvement initiatives.

Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement through training, coaching, and communication.

  • Process Improvement and Methodology:

Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.

Partner with senior leadership to drive operational excellence and implement best practices across departments.

  • Performance Measurement and Analytics:

Conduct regular performance assessments, analyze data, and generate actionable insights to measure progress.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Change Management and Implementation:

Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth implementation of new processes or systems.

  • Project and Resource Management:

Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for improvement projects.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial and or Operations).
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in process / continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), or similar methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with a datadriven mindset.
  • Demonstrated success in leading crossfunctional teams and managing projects.
  • Knowledge of relevant tools and software for process mapping, data analysis, and project management.

Has an authentic interpersonal style that engages others and encourages high performance. Uses personal influence to encourage and support.

  • Resolves conflict:

Able to handle confrontation in a professional and constructive manner. Avoids conflict when possible but does not shy away from addressing issues when necessary. Is a skilled mediator when needed.
