Job summary

Flexaust, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to support manufacturing operations through equipment improvements, process optimization, and engineering project implementation.

You will collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive efficiency and reduce downtime. The role involves designing modifications with SolidWorks, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, PLC, and process-related issues, and managing projects from concept to implementation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing, process, or mechanical engineering experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and mechanical design principles.
  • Experience improving manufacturing equipment and production processes.
  • Understanding PLC programming concepts and the ability to read and troubleshoot ladder logic.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
  • Experience with equipment assembly, machine installation, machining, welding, and fabrication.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build, assemble, install, and modify manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Utilize welding, machining, and fabrication skills to support equipment improvements and projects.
  • Manage improvement projects from concept through implementation.
  • Create engineering drawings, layouts, and documentation to support manufacturing operations.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, automation projects, and facility improvements.
  • Travel as needed to support projects, training, and supplier visits.
