Reporting Line

This position reports to: Plant Manager - Motors and Mechanical

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive a culture of operational excellence by leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. The focus will be on eliminating waste, increasing efficiency, and maintaining a high-performing, organized work environment. You will lead Lean, Kaizen, and 6S initiatives, train employees in CI methodologies, and ensure alignment with long-term business goals.

This role contributes to the Motion NEMA Motors division in {insert region}. Main stakeholders include {insert main stakeholder groups}.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Identify and remove roadblocks that hinder the successful implementation and adoption of CI initiatives, and oversee conflicting priorities.
  2. Promote and lead improvement programs and projects within your area, using a hands-on (Gemba) and problem-solving approach.
  3. Lead a systematic, fact-based approach to identify and evaluate opportunities for future improvements.
  4. Guide and support the dissemination of a CI mindset and culture at all levels to promote behavioral change and continuous performance improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or related leadership roles, with a proven track record of successful Lean Culture transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and CI methodologies.
  • Experience facilitating Kaizen events, leading 6S programs, and managing VSM updates.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving, and change management.
  • Stamping experience is a plus.
  • Must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
