Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to Warren at least three times per week.
The Role
Join the Brand Quality Propulsion team as a Brand Quality Manager - Propulsion. This multifaceted role focuses on product quality, reliability, durability, and issue remediation for batteries, drive units, power electronics, transmissions, and engines.
Brand Quality aims to improve customer retention and the vehicle ownership experience by quickly resolving product quality concerns and providing multi-functional, closed-loop solutions for current and future vehicles. The role requires creativity, initiative, independence, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.
What You’ll Do
Identify and assess quality and durability issues: Utilize warranty parts reviews, product reports, warranty data, and field cases (FSE, TAC, ParTech).
Drive issue resolution: Collaborate with Design Release Engineers (DREs), QRD teams, Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs), Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Leadership; document findings in PRTS.
Manage field communications: Handle Technical Service Bulletins, Preliminary Information Bulletins, emerging issues videos, Global Connect messages, and Tech Link articles.
Support GM field personnel, call centers, dealers, and service teams: Assist in resolving product service and technical issues efficiently.
Monitor warranty data and field reports: Proactively identify trends and facilitate solutions.
Ensure timely documentation: Record issues in PRTS and keep key stakeholders informed.
Champion customer and dealer feedback: During Warranty Work Cell reviews and special part return evaluations.
Lead warranty waste reduction and avoidance initiatives: Track impact and improvements.
Participate in warranty review and teardown meetings: Provide updates on quality issues and resolution progress.
Engage in CPIT meetings: Contribute to continuous process improvement and technical excellence.
