Job description

Job Description

This is a key role supporting the Global Warehousing function, including collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing warehousing costs, and working closely with global logistics partners. The primary focus of this position is to coordinate and manage the implementation of best practices in warehousing. Responsibilities include implementing warehousing systems and processes, fostering internal customer partnerships, and designing warehousing models and their implementation. The incumbent will establish relationships with internal business units, vendors, and external customers of Intuitive Surgical.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive programs and projects to enhance warehousing operations, focusing on cost control, performance metrics, capacity planning, company growth, and business continuity.
  2. Partner with global warehousing managers to identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives that meet or exceed goals, providing cost certainty, improved service, and quality to business units.
  3. Manage continuous improvement opportunities to achieve significant warehousing savings and improve customer service.
  4. Present business cases related to cost, quality, and strategy to supply chain leadership and cross-functional teams.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.
Typical Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • 5-10 years of experience in global logistics, warehousing processes, and program improvement.
  • 5-10 years of experience working with global logistics suppliers.
