We are currently hiring a Continuous Improvement Manager in our Breinigsville, PA brewery.

Boston Beer Company is experiencing rapid growth, and we are developing our manufacturing capabilities to meet increasing market demand. To support this, we are fostering a culture of Operational Excellence through our Unrivaled Performance (UP) program, based on the Integrated Work Systems (IWS) method and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Our goal is to increase capacity and agility across our diverse product portfolio by applying these principles and tools, bringing processes, skills, and tools to our brewery team members.

The Focused Improvement Manager will focus on developing our co-workers' ability to utilize accurate, real-time data to identify and eliminate inefficiencies through root cause analysis. This cross-functional leadership role supports shopfloor teams, operational leaders, and process engineers, requiring expertise in data systems and root cause analysis tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Set long-term strategic vision and growth strategies for the brand.
  2. Support shopfloor activities by leading and coaching on-site, with 50% of time spent engaged in these activities.
  3. Become a subject matter expert in Loss Tree Analysis, Rate Analysis, Loss Coding, data interpretation, and manufacturing loss analysis tools.
  4. Lead training and certification in Focused Improvement tools; participate as a key member of the Focused Improvement Pillar.
  5. Collaborate with IT, Power BI, and MES teams to ensure effective data collection and reporting, representing operational needs.
  6. Drive adoption of Unrivaled Performance / IWS methodology at all organizational levels.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4+ years in operational and process engineering roles.
  • Experience implementing lean processes on the shopfloor.
  • Strong understanding of TPM, WCM, or IWS.
  • Proven ability to promote standardized processes and foster collaboration across supply chain and business units.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives with measurable results.
  • Financial acumen in supply chain management.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Power BI.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Leadership experience in Operations and Maintenance/Reliability departments.
  • Six Sigma certification (Black Belt or Green Belt).
  • Experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including walking, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in various environments, including elevated areas and wearing PPE.

Additional Information:

Salary range: $76,500 – $135,200 annually, depending on experience and location. Eligible for bonuses and other perks.
