Position: Continuous Improvement Manager

Entity/Department : Tenaris Bay City, Inc.

Location : Koppel, PA

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Responsible for managing the continuous improvement process at US North factories.
  • Supervises the definition of the to-be model of initiatives under his/her responsibility and their roadmap.
  • Ensures the participation and alignment of all stakeholders (Line Managers, Experts, Sponsors, etc.), promoting Change Management activities.
  • Identifies problems regarding the Industrial Processes/Plants; provides technical support on project development as well as the selection of the proper continuous improvement tool and standard methodology to be applied.
  • Analyzes the evaluation/quantification and benefit of projects in industrial performance in search of continuous improvement; detecting issues/deviations and providing support on the identification of the adequate mitigation action/course of action that should be followed.
  • Performs weekly and monthly management reports on the progress and management of the different projects, updating the different sites.
  • Assists in the promotion of knowledge sharing, best practices, and Know-how documentation on the defined standards among the regions/mills.
  • Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures, and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
  • Participate in HSE objectives setting, define and implement programs and actions applicable to the area of responsibility for continual improvement of HSE performance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronic or Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a Manufacturing facility as a maintenance engineer, maintenance specialist, maintenance manager or operations manager performing each of the following: planning and execution of continuous improvement, capital expenditure or improvements projects for industrial systems, rolling mill and/or finishing lines; utilizing DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) and tools and methodologies to manage industrial initiatives including IPOC diagrams, cause-effect diagrams, Pareto diagrams; failure analysis; and FMEA.

Special Requirement: Up to 25% domestic travel required to Tenaris facilities.
