Job summary

Schneider Electric Goodyear, Arizona seeks a Supply Chain Performance Leader to oversee and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency, productivity, and quality. You will focus on production optimization, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.

You will lead data analysis, team guidance, and the implementation of best practices to achieve high performance in industrial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain or a relevant field.
• Extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, Visual Management, Kaizen).
• 4+ years of experience with Production Systems, e.g., Toyota Production System.
• Experience with Agile Methodologies/Project Management.
• Ability to set priorities and translate into action plans.
• Experience with cost-saving projects for a manufacturing plant.
• Experience in industrial mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
• Strong leadership, problem solving and communication skills.
• Experience with change management and driving change by influence.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous Improvement strategy for Front-end and Core processes from tendering to delivery.
• Animate continuous improvement on plant operations based on Schneider Performance.
• Champion Kaizen events and lead some of them.
• Lead deployment of smart factory solutions in plant, liaising with IPM and global leaders.
• Define yearly actions plan to build productivity.
• Follow productivity actions and achieve Direct Labor Productivity targets.
• Report Direct Labor Productivity to support functions using standard tools.
• Ensure transversal SPS sustainability at plant with action plans from SPS assessments.
• Grow skills at all factory levels in manufacturing excellence.
• Manage Value Stream Mapping and improve Product Lead Time through transversal actions.
• Implement SPS concepts like green/red, architecture lines, S.I.M., and material handling.

Schneider Electric has an opportunity to join our Goodyear, Arizona team. As Supply Chain Performance Leader, you'll oversee and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality. You will typically focus on optimizing production, reducing waste, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence. This role involves analyzing data, leading teams, and implementing best practices to achieve high performance in industrial operations.

What will you do?

• Lead the continuous Improvement strategy : The person is in charge of the continuous improvement of the whole process, both in Front-end & Core, i.e. from tendering to delivery.
• Animate the continuous improvement on operational processes in plant based on Schneider Performance.
• Challenge, follow Kaizen events and in some cases lead some of them.
• Smart factories: Lead the deployment of the smart factory solutions in plant: The point of contact of the IPM and global smart factory leader.
• Productivity: Define yearly actions plan to build the productivity.
• Follow productivity action plan and ensure achievement of the Direct Labor Productivity target.
• Report the Direct Labor Productivity to support functions by using standard tools and processes.
• Ensure the transversal animation to get sustainability of Schneider Production System (SPS) level in the plant (including implementation of actions plans driven by SPS assessment).
• Ensure the growing skills at all levels in the factory on the principles of manufacturing excellence.
• Manage the plant Value Stream Mapping (current & future state) and lead the continuous improvement of Product Lead Time by animating transversal actions plan at plant level.
• Ensure the implementation of the concept of green / red, principles of SPS, architecture lines, Short Interval Management, Material Providing & Handling.

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain or relevant field.
• Extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing Tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, Visual management, Kaizen etc.) is required.
• 4+ years of experience with any type of Production Systems (ex:Toyota Production systems or any other similar systems).
• Extensive experience with Agile Methodologies/Project Management.
• Ability to set overall priorities and form action plans to implement & monitor for results.
• Experience with cost saving projects for a manufacturing plant.
• Experience in industrial mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
• Ability to interact and lead others in a collaborative environment.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem solving, project management and communication skills.
• Experience with change management principles and demonstrated ability to drive and manage the change process. Lead by influence.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint & Excel) is a requirement.
