Job summary

C2 GPS is seeking a Continuous Improvement Lead to guide the workforce development staff in Nevada, developing and implementing strategies to improve service delivery and meet grant performance measures.

You will assist the Continuous Improvement Manager, provide technical assistance, supervise when needed, and help in staff development and coordination with other departments. This role emphasizes quality, accountability, and customer service in a dynamic public-sector environment.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, compile, analyze and interpret performance data from MIS and databases.
  • Monitor performance data daily and brief management on issues.
  • Ensure compliance with data performance rules and assist staff in data interpretation.
  • Develop desk aids and tools to capture necessary data for customer activities and performance.
  • Provide technical assistance on workforce services programs and support services.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance and other departments to meet goals.

Job description

TheContinuous Improvement Leadprovides guidance to the continuous improvement staff within the workforce development area. This position provides continuous improvement guidance to workforce systems, develops, and implements strategies for the effective delivery of programmatic services to customers and is responsible for meeting/exceeding all grant related performance measures. Will assist the Continuous Improvement Manager by providing technical assistance to staff as necessary and may assist in the direct supervision of the Continuous Improvement department in the absence of the Management. Additionally, the Lead will assist the Manager in the professional development of staff, the development and implementation of action plans to address under performance and the coordination of activities with other departments to meet the goals of the workforce system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Uses all databases, management information systems and related ad hoc reporting systems and tools to extract, compile, analyze and interpret performance data.
  • Monitors performance data on a daily, regular, and ongoing basis and apprises management and staff of potential issues and problems.
  • Ensures compliance with performance rules and regulations in relation to data to meet contracted goals and trains others in the effective use of information and interpretation of the reports.
  • Develops desk aids to facilitate understanding of performance and compliance with data performance rules and regulations.
  • Develops additional tools to capture all necessary and pertinent data on customer activities to improve customer service and meet contracted performance measures.
  • Provides technical assistance on workforce services programs and support services.
  • Conducts monitoring procedures such as data gathering, data review/analysis, and document/case file review, verification, and criteria development and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
  • Analyzes performance information for contract compliance and evaluates internal reports and provide all required monitoring documents by deadline.
  • Communicates effectively with Management and staff using good judgment and diplomacy.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation on all program reviews.
  • Ensures Quality Assurance Specialists perform daily case readings of workforce center staff.
  • Coordinates weekly programmatic activity and performance data with of Quality Assurance Specialist.
  • Maintains contact with Career Counselors.
  • Adapts to new programs and software for each individual project.
  • Maintains knowledge on current and future programs to ensure compliance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
  • Prefer knowledge of workforce development programs and projects, economic development, business intelligence, business trends and project management experience
  • Prefer work experience in a performance based environment, public or private, the ability to analyze and interpret information and data and provide relevant feedback for action
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate and provide guidance to staff and management
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively and interact with all stakeholders; ability to develop solutions
  • Strong knowledge of effective management techniques and practices, including planning, developing and implementing strategies and assessing results
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Time management skills to stay on target with goals
  • Detail orientated and strong organizational skills
  • Good computer software skills for database and spreadsheet

  • Knowledge of WIOA programs
  • The position is in the Southern NV Workforce Solutions delivery area and must be able to commute to anywhere in the service delivery area.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with management, coworkers, workers from other programs as well as the public
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates or Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study and (2) years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance with good driving record.
  • Ability to commute within the service delivery area.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
