Job summary

Mattr is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist in Ohio to drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives on the shop floor. You will partner with manufacturing, quality, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain to identify, prioritize, and execute improvements that enhance safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing Technology, Business, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvement.
• Proven success leading Lean or Six Sigma projects in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma.
• Execute Kaizen events and waste-elimination activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, capacity, safety, and cost.
• Implement sustainable solutions and verify targeted results.
• Monitor project progress and report outcomes to site leadership.
• Perform root cause analysis using DMAIC, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto tools.
• Analyze data to identify trends and bottlenecks.
• Partner with operations to reduce scrap, downtime, and variation.
• Support data-driven decision-making and Lean practices like 5S, VSM, TPM, and Daily Management.
