Job summary

Barnes Group in Warren, MI is seeking a student to support engineering operations in a manufacturing setting. You will work with the CI Manager on assignments, generate routing instructions, and draft work instruction redlines to drive quality and efficiency.

You will help resolve non-conformances, support cost and schedule improvements, and contribute to tooling design modifications and inspection documentation. This role targets a full-time student pursuing an engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to schedule and organize time and tasks effectively.
• Ability to work in a challenging and schedule driven environment.
• Power/hand tools and measurement devices experience a plus.
• CAD experience a plus.
• MS Office experience preferred.

• Supporting implementation of process improvement initiatives aimed at improving cost, schedule and quality.
