Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word) and MS tools.
  • Time management and strong written/verbal communication skills; internship or prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Exposure to manufacturing methodologies and LEAN principles (A3, Gemba, 5s).
  • Stakeholder in improvements to KPI metrics.
  • Familiarize with large-scale manufacturing, specifically injection molding.
  • Participate in root cause and corrective action processes.
  • Manufacturing data analytics using PowerBI and MINITAB.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects including ROI and capital expense justification.
  • Develop and implement general work instructions.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Lean Continuous Improvement Manager, the Lean Continuous Improvement Engineer Intern is responsible for familiarizing themselves with large scale manufacturing, specifically in the style of injection molding. In this fast-paced environment, you will work with other Lean Continuous Improvement engineers in assisting with current projects while learning firsthand LEAN principles. In addition to this your skills will be developed and strengthened in project management while leading and maintaining your own projects relating to continuous improvement and other manufacturing engineering fields. The individual will need to be actively enrolled in a university in pursuing an engineering or relatable field.

Essential Functions
  • Exposure to manufacturing methodologies and LEAN principles (A3, Gemba, 5s)
  • Stakeholder in improvements to KPI metrices
  • Familiarize themselves with large scale manufacturing specifically in the field of injection molding
  • Participate in root cause, corrective action processes
  • Manufacturing data analytics (PowerBI / MiniTab)
  • Continuous improvement projects consisting of ROI and capital expense justification
  • General work instruction development and implementation
Other Functions
  • Identification of improvement in equipment, processes, and methods.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word programs.
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Time Management Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant Internship experience or Previous Work Experience preferred but not required
  • Valid Driver License with an acceptable driving record along with an adequate automobile insurance.
