Job summary

Hexagon Agility, a global provider of clean fuel solutions, is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer in Salisbury, NC. The role drives energy transformation through lean initiatives and cross-functional collaboration in a manufacturing setting.

You will lead CI/IE projects, apply tools like Value Stream Mapping and Six Sigma, and develop standards to improve throughput and cost efficiency. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Master’s degree in related Engineering field or MBA preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive manufacturing process design and continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience in the automotive industry a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Work with enterprise business areas at the operational and corporate level to drive process improvements, compliance standards and strategies for consistent, repeatable, and flawless execution.
  • Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives to help ensure the continuation of streamlined processes to create a sustainable, lean organization.
  • Analyze ambiguous problems utilizing demonstrated proficiency of lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, standard work, Six Sigma, 5S and other lean tools.
  • Manage and lead multiple Continuous Improvement/Industrial Engineering projects with minimal oversight.
  • Develop and implement project plans to achieve Future State.
  • Lead Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and other Continuous Improvement activities ensuring projects are done according to budget and timelines.
  • Conduct time studies, develop and document work standards, and maximize line balancing to optimize workflow and productivity improvements.
  • Develop/implement metrics supporting lean manufacturing philosophy to track process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Develop standards for process confirmation using sustainable problem solving.
  • Support and executes training of others with focus on lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

Responsibilities:

Education Experience

Prior experience working under tight deadlines with shifting priorities

Ability to define problems, collect data,establishfacts, and draw valid conclusions with ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables

Proficient in statistical analysis of processes and understands how and when to apply them based on the situation and specific needs

Moderation and training skills

Ability to prioritize tasks effectively with management direction

Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite,emailand web-based navigation
