Job summary

Hexagon Agility, a leading global provider of clean fuel solutions, is driving the energy transformation in the transport sector. We are looking for an ambitious and driven Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our Salisbury, NC team and work closely with colleagues to advance lean manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities include leading Kaizen events, value stream mapping, time studies, and implementing projects that reduce waste and improve throughput.

Responsibilities

  • Drive process improvements with enterprise business areas to ensure repeatable, lean execution.
  • Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives to streamline processes and sustain lean operations.
  • Analyze problems using lean tools like Value Stream Mapping, standard work, Six Sigma, 5S.
  • Lead multiple CI/IE projects with minimal oversight and manage budgets/timelines.
  • Develop and implement project plans to achieve Future State and improved throughput.
  • Lead Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping and other CI activities to reduce waste and improve productivity.
  • Conduct time studies, document work standards, optimize workflow, and drive throughput improvements.
  • Develop metrics to track cost reductions and lean manufacturing performance.
  • Provide training on lean techniques and support others’ development.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Continuous Improvement Engineer driving energy transformation

Salisbury, NC

Driving the energy transformation is critical to reducing climate change. To limit climate risks, it is necessary to reduce the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere.

Our Continuous Improvement teams play an important role in driving that transformation.

We are looking for an ambitious and driven colleague that wants to work closely with our team.

Responsibilities

Work with enterprise business areas at the operational and corporate level to drive process improvements, compliance standards and strategies for consistent, repeatable, and flawless execution

Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives to help ensure the continuation of streamlined processes to create a sustainable,lean organization

Analyze ambiguous problemsutilizingdemonstratedproficiencyof lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, standard work, Six Sigma, 5S and other lean tools

Manage and lead multiple Continuous Improvement/Industrial Engineering projects with minimal oversight

Develop and implement project plans to achieve Future State

Leads Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and other Continuous Improvement activities ensuring projects are done according to budget and timelines

Conduct time studies, developand documentwork standards,andmaximizeline balancingtooptimizeworkflow anddrivethroughput andproductivityimprovements

Develop/implement metrics supporting lean manufacturing philosophy to track process improvements and cost reductions

Develop standards for process confirmation using sustainable problem solving

Support and executes training of others with focus on lean manufacturingtechniques

Willingness to travel up to 50%

Education Experience

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineeringor related engineering discipline

Master’s degree in related Engineering field or MBA preferred,but notrequired

Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive, manufacturing process design and continuous improvement experience

Experience in the automotive industry a plus

Skills and qualifications

Must have strong problem-solving skills and a desire to create solutions

Must be efficient and effective in time,qualityand cost management

Proven experience working on a cross-functional team with strong ability to influence/motivate others to achieve results

Must havedemonstratedand effective interpersonal,oraland written communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers

Prior experience working under tight deadlines with shifting priorities

Ability to define problems, collect data,establishfacts, and draw valid conclusions with ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables

Proficient in statistical analysis of processes and understands how and when to apply them based on the situation and specific needs

Moderation and training skills

Ability to prioritize tasks effectively with management direction

Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite,emailand web-based navigation
