Job summary

OMEGA, Inc. is seeking an early-career Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive operational excellence in our Georgia manufacturing operations.

You will lead Lean initiatives, Kaizen events, and production-flow improvements while partnering with cross-functional teams to eliminate waste and improve safety, quality and productivity. You will analyze performance data, design layouts, and implement standardized work with a strong emphasis on sustainable, measurable gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial/ manufacturing engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven experience leading Lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and apply Lean tools like 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, and Visual Management.
• Analyze production data, conduct time studies, and identify opportunities to improve processes and workflow.
• Design and implement process, layout, and material flow improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to deliver sustainable improvements.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve recurring issues.
• Support new product introductions, capacity planning, and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and sustain improvements through training, audits, and standardized work.

About the role As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving operational excellence across our manufacturing operations by leading Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, you'll identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost while creating more efficient and sustainable manufacturing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to make a measurable impact. You'll lead Kaizen events, optimize production workflows, analyze manufacturing performance, and implement Lean tools that eliminate waste and improve operational performance. Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) while ensuring improvements are sustained through training, audits, and standardized work.

Key Skills required:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
• Experience with Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis techniques.
• Experience conducting Value Stream Mapping exercises and implementing improvement plans.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001.
• Knowledge of production planning, facility layout, workflow design, and labor optimization.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing performance metrics.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
