Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer in Morristown, TN. The role focuses on leading process improvements for an established manufacturer, mentoring others, and delivering measurable efficiency gains.

The candidate will drive value stream mapping, kaizen events, standard work, and line balance initiatives while applying Lean tools and statistical analysis to directly impact performance. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• BSIE or BS and equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Continuous Process Improvement with demonstrated success.
• Experience and capability to mentor others utilizing continuous improvement tools (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, Standard Work, 3S, Pull Systems, 1 piece flow, 8 types of waste, kanban implementation, line balance, OEE, SMED, brainstorming).
• Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and statistical software packages such as Minitab.
• Technical experience and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in leading continuous improvement events.
• Work independent with little or no supervision.
• Experience in statistical and mathematical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement events and mentor teams to implement best practices.
• Drive value stream mapping and kaizen activities to optimize processes.
• Develop standard work and line balance to improve OEE and flow.
• Guide kanban implementation and pull systems to reduce waste.
• Analyze data with statistical methods to support decisions.
