Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH seeks an early childhood educator to design, implement and supervise age-appropriate curriculum, manage classroom activities and interactions, and maintain a safe and healthy environment for young children.

You will supervise part-time assistant teachers and volunteers, coordinate parent/teacher conferences, and keep accurate attendance, meal counts and conference reports while supporting the center’s educational growth through community workshops.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or coursework in Early Childhood preferred.
• Two-year certification in early child development or CDA credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in planning curriculum to provide a safe environment.
• Welcomes children and parents; organizes parent/teacher conferences.
• Supervises part-time staff and volunteers; maintains classroom cleanliness and order.
• Monitors children and reports unusual symptoms to parents/admin.
• Maintains attendance, meal counts, conference reports, and other records.
• Supports center development by using materials and participating in workshops.
