Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Center Supervisor to design and implement age-appropriate curriculum, supervise classroom activities, and maintain a safe learning environment for children. The role involves coordinating with parents and staff, supervising part-time teachers and volunteers, and ensuring compliance with licensing and center policies.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma with preferred coursework in early childhood, plus a CDA or related credential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent coursework with a focus in Early Childhood preferred.
• Two-year certification in early child development or CDA credential preferred.
• Experience in an early childhood education program preferred.
• Working knowledge of State Licensing regulations, SUTQ, and Center policies.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in planning curriculum based on knowledge of child development and observations to provide a safe environment.
• Provides welcoming environment for children and parents and collaborates on conferences.
• Supervises and delegates classroom responsibilities to part-time assistant teachers, volunteers, and student teachers.
• Maintains cleanliness and order in the classroom.
• Supervises that children are attended by Center staff and reports any unusual symptoms to parents or administrator.
• Maintains records including attendance, meal counts, conference reports, and classroom records.
• Assists development and educational growth using Center materials and participating in community workshops.
