Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program seeks a Contingent Ancillary Services Treatment Advocate to support youth and families in Summit County. You will transport clients to appointments and help implement treatment plans, while documenting progress for billing and care coordination.

Responsibilities include engaging youths, linking to community resources, assisting in family reunification, and handling crisis support on various shifts. A driver’s license and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or enrollment in an accredited program (preferred).
• GED or HS Diploma required.
• Daily travel with flexible schedule and after-hours availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions as needed while transporting clients to appointments.
• Contribute to development of youth treatment/service plans.
• Engage youth to build a trusting relationship and support goal attainment.
• Provide PSR and/or TBS services (Training Provided).
• Document conversations and outcomes for billing and records.

We are seeking a Contingent Ancillary Services Treatment Advocate to join our team, covering Summit CountyCompensation: $20.00 per hour.This is a Contingent position.Are you interested in a career in social services? This position is a direct, hands-on opportunity with great flexibility.Ancillary Services Treatment Advocates with National Youth Advocate Program work closely with adolescents, youth, and children as well as families and community partners, to provide one-on-one advocacy and support while transporting them to and from a destination.Working at NYAP• Flexible Schedule• Mileage Reimbursement• Hands on ExperienceResponsibilities• Provide interventions, as needed, with client(s)while being transported to and from various appointments and visits throughout the community• Participate in the development of the youth treatment/service plans as needed• Interact with the youth to develop a trusting, supportive relationship while assisting in achieving identified goals.• Provide PSR and/or TBS Services (Training Provided).• Ability to engage clients; document conversations and outcomes and submit paperwork for billing.• Identify outside resources and services in the community for youth development and goal attainment.• Assist in family reunification efforts with the youths’ primary family or other permanent living arrangements.• Assist in Crisis Situations (daytime, afternoon, evenings, overnights, and weekends).Minimum Qualifications• Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s Degree or enrollment in an accredited Associates or Bachelor’s Program; preferred; GED or HS Diploma required.• Experience in child welfare; preferred.• Daily travel required with the willingness to meet clients on a flexible schedule or during non-traditional hours if needed; Availability for after school hours and weekends.• Working, reliable telephone.• Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.Driving and Vehicle RequirementsValid driver’s licenseReliable personal transportationGood driving recordMinimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liabilityApply today!www.nyap.org/employmentBenefits listed are for eligible employees as outlined by our benefit policy.An Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/veterans.
