Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program is seeking an Ancillary Services Treatment Advocate in Franklin County. The role involves providing one-on-one advocacy and support to youth and families, and transporting clients to and from appointments within the community.

The position is contingent, non-benefits eligible, up to 19 hours per week with afternoon hours, Monday through Friday. Mileage reimbursement is provided, and hands-on experience in social services is gained.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or enrollment in a program preferred; GED/HS diploma required.
• Experience in child welfare preferred.
• Daily travel and flexible after-school hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions with clients while transported to appointments.
• Participate in development of youth treatment/service plans.
• Engage youth to build trusting relationships and support goals.
• Provide PSR and/or TBS services (training Provided).
• Document conversations and outcomes for billing.
• Identify outside resources and services in the community for youth development.
• Assist in family reunification efforts with youths' primary family or other permanent living arrangements.
• Assist in Crisis Situations (daytime, afternoon, evenings, overnights, and weekends).
