Job summary

Rainbow Restoration of Chesapeake is seeking a Contents Cleaning & Processing Technician to handle belongings and support processing both in our facility and on job sites. You’ll photograph, inventory, wrap, package, and label items for transport and storage.

You’ll clean, deodorize, and restore personal property, repackage items for return, and maintain warehouse records. Strong teamwork, communication, and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Basic computer/tablet skills; prior cleaning/restoration experience preferred.
• IICRC certifications (CPT, FSRT, OCT) a plus; willingness to earn them.
• Ability to wear PPE and occasionally work after-hours for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Photograph, identify, and inventory customer belongings using digital systems.
• Wrap, package, and label items for safe transport and storage.
• Clean, deodorize, and restore personal property (furniture, decor, household items, etc.).
• Repackage, label, and prepare restored items for return to the customer.
• Maintain warehouse organization and accurate records.
• Assist with packing/unpacking (pack-outs and pack-backs).
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with customers and teammates.
• Follow all safety, cleaning, and documentation protocols.
