Job summary

Merit Restorations in Winchester, VA, is seeking a Contents Cleaner to clean, deodorize, and restore customer belongings at our contents processing facility.

The role uses ultrasonic cleaners, ozone machines, and air scrubbers; you will work closely with the Contents Technician and Lead Contents Project Manager to move work efficiently.

Applicants should have a high school diploma; on-the-job training provided; IICRC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior cleaning, housekeeping, or restoration experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• IICRC certification in contents or textile cleaning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean, deodorize, and restore household and personal items using appropriate techniques, tools, and cleaning solutions for each item type.
• Operate specialized cleaning equipment, such as ultrasonic cleaners, ozone machines, and air scrubbers, as needed.
• Assess incoming items for damage type and determine the appropriate cleaning or restoration method.
• Identify items that cannot be fully restored and flag them for review.
