About We Are Working

We Are Working (WAW) is a full-service staffing company specializing in helping small to midsize businesses hire offshore talent, also known as virtual assistants (VA). Much of our competition is foreign-based companies that do little more than offer a very low hourly rate and connect a company with a VA and leave much of the ‘figuring it out’ up to the client. We Are Working is different in that we are more full service and we layer into the equation rock solid workflow and strong supervision of the VA. We are workflow experts and once we take over a task, all of the operational headaches associated with that task are handled by WAW from that point forward.

We have been in business for over four years and have built a base of customers and are profitable. However, to a large extent, we are still in start-up mode.

We are looking for a Content Writer to work either fractional or full time hours for both WAW and Achieve Test Prep which is a sister company to WAW.

Job Summary:

The Content Writer will specialize in Persuasive Call-to-Action writing, and will create and publish digital content that will be used to engage multiple (4-6) target customer segments, with the goal of encouraging each lead to progress down the sales funnel and become a customer. The Content Writer will have a proven track record of crafting compelling and persuasive content, particularly in the art of creating effective CTAs. This will be a crucial role in developing content that captivates our audience, drives engagement and converts leads.

Project management skills are critical for this role. You need to be organized, methodical, and capable of keeping multiple projects ongoing simultaneously. While the role exists primarily within the marketing team, it will also be required to contribute written materials for the content, product, sales and account management teams.

Requirements
  1. Write and develop compelling email campaigns that nurture B2C & B2B leads.
  2. Keep track of which strategies are most effective at producing leads who are ready to have a sales conversation.
  3. Demonstrate expertise in creating powerful CTAs that prompt audience response and drive desired actions.
  4. Develop high-quality, engaging, and persuasive content with a strong focus on effective CTAs for websites, landing pages, email campaigns, social media posts, blog articles, and other marketing materials.
  5. Write buyer-facing sales enablement content that our sales teams can use to engage prospects during Zoom-type meetings and win deals.
  6. Create sales content that answers the questions and meets the challenges that our leads have at each stage of the sales cycle.
  7. Conduct research for specific umbrella discussion topics that are relevant to adults returning to college and for We Are Working clients.
  8. Establish a unique blogging style. Incorporate SEO best practices into content creation to enhance visibility and drive organic traffic.
  9. Develop headlines that tie to content and drive leads to click on those headlines in various social media channels.
  10. Collaborate with the marketing team on how best to develop, design and share the various forms of content that aligns with business goals and resonate with the target audience.
  11. Own the creation and management of an editorial calendar.
  12. Monitor and analyze the performance of key performance indicators (KPIs) to offer suggestions for improvement.
  13. Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to optimize the online visibility of our websites in search results.
  14. Writing, editing and publishing engaging content for various social networks, including Facebook, X, Google Business and Instagram.
  15. Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals.
Desired Skills & Experience:
  1. Proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio.
  2. Impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions.
  3. Strong understanding of marketing principles and audience psychology.
  4. Proficiency in SEO and content optimization techniques.
  5. Ability to write using different tones of voice.
  6. Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary.
  7. Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  8. The successful candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excels in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with the ability to adapt to change quickly.

Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Schedule: Flexible schedule with a minimum 4 hour overlap during the 9am - 5pm EST workday
