Responsibilities
  • Write client content that is high quality and optimized for performance across a variety of platforms, including, but not limited to, websites, articles, blogs, newsletters, scripts, and social media posts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
  • Adapt and implement platform-specific content strategies with intent to elevate the client’s thought leadership, reach targeted audiences, drive engagement, and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Conduct necessary research on the client and their field of expertise to write about the subject matter proficiently while maintaining voice, tone, and style.
  • Collaborate with clients and their teams on content ideation, creation, and publication.
  • Lead regular, productive interviews with the client aimed at generating exclusive, value-added content.
  • Participate in additional client strategy calls, as needed, to understand current objectives and outcomes and provide content recommendations.
  • Deliver content on deadline to Account Strategists and manage client revisions expediently.
  • Review regular reports on content performance and adjust content strategy as needed.
  • Collaborate with Account Strategists to ensure seamless content operations, including content review processes, scheduling logistics, and the utilization of project-management resources, including content calendars.
  • Contribute to content development aspects of audio/video offerings, including short-form videos and podcasts.
  • Review and approve client content, including email drafts, scripts, or comments created by other departments as needed.
  • Support internal content team members with client content tasks as needed.
  • Work closely with internal content team members to improve content systems.
  • Contribute to the continuous learning and development of the content team by staying current on industry best practices, including the identification of tools and techniques that add efficiencies.
  • Escalate urgent considerations and pressing opportunities to relevant stakeholders.
  • Upon request, support select internal client teams with scheduling and other basic account management operations, under the supervision of and with support from the Director of Content & Editorial and/or the VP of Client Services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Excellent writer, editor, and copy editor with acute attention to detail
  • At least 2 to 3 years of work experience, preferably in publishing, journalism, advertising/marketing, freelance writing, media, or related field
  • Previous experience in client or public-facing or customer service role(s)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic, organization, and time management
  • Comfortable conducting client interviews on a regular basis
  • Distinct understanding of and interest in social media platforms; additional knowledge of social media marketing preferred
  • Ability to think strategically about brand goals, product campaigns, and topics for content on a long-term timeline
  • Familiarity with AP Stylebook and CMOS grammar style and usage guides
  • “Can-do” attitude with a team-player mentality and a willingness to be flexible; thoughtful problem-solver with a commitment to high-quality work and continuous learning
