Job summary

Soni is seeking a Content & Communications Specialist to support day-to-day communications, content creation, and event promotion in a community-focused nonprofit.

You will craft on-brand graphics using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, manage a busy content calendar, promote programs, capture community moments, and assist with a website redesign.

The role requires 3+ years in content/marketing, strong design eye, and experience with social media and email marketing; portfolio preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in content, communications, marketing, or related field.
• Hands-on experience creating graphics and visual content.
• Proficiency in Canva; Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Experience with social media, email marketing, and digital content.
• Comfortable capturing photos; basic video/Reels experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, project management, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Nonprofit, community, education, or mission-driven experience is a plus.
• Portfolio or work samples demonstrating hands-on visual content creation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create on-brand graphics and content for social, email, events, web, and print using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Promote programs and events through social posts, emails, flyers, and marketing materials.
• Capture events and community moments through photos and storytelling.
• Manage communications calendar, including social posts, emails, newsletters, and program communications.
• Support brand refresh and update materials per guidelines.
• Build and send email campaigns and update templates.
• Write and edit light marketing copy: captions, headlines, event messaging.
• Collaborate with teams to gather stories, photos, and content.
• Support website content and redesign.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
