Job summary

This role requires deep knowledge of taxonomy concepts and data modeling (Dublin Core, RDF, SKOS) with a passion for information organization.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of taxonomy design and management with a proven track record in large organizations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for organizing large data sets.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with data modeling and classification systems such as Dublin Core, RDF, and SKOS.
• Knowledge of current taxonomy trends, ontologies, and AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive taxonomy system for Netflix content.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish taxonomy guidelines and standards.
• Continuously monitor and update taxonomy categories reflecting industry trends and user behavior.
• Ensure content is accurately tagged and categorized according to established standards.
• Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve tagging errors and implement corrective measures.
• Train and guide team members and content creators on taxonomy best practices.
• Develop and maintain documentation of the taxonomy system, guidelines, and processes.
• Stay up-to-date with taxonomy trends to improve the system.
• Collaborate with data teams to analyze user behavior and search patterns.
• Identify and address taxonomy-related issues to ensure seamless UX.
