refurbed, Europe’s fastest-growing marketplace for refurbished products, is a remote-first company with a Vienna HQ and multi-market expansion. We seek a Taxonomy/Catalogue Expert to own the global category tree, attribute schemas, and data-quality governance across markets.

You will lead taxonomy design for new categories, run audits, and partner with Category Management, Compliance, Marketing, and Customer Service to ensure scalable, accurate catalog structures and optimized search

Qualifications

• Experience designing taxonomy/classification for e-commerce or marketplaces.
• Strong data-modeling and schema design experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and spreadsheet/BI tools for catalog auditing.
• Familiar with SEO and search/filter mechanics related to attributes.
• Experience with automation/scripts for taxonomy audits.

Responsibilities

• Own the global category tree structure across markets and audits.
• Design the attribute schema for each category and govern naming conventions.
• Lead deduplication and normalization across the catalog and track data-quality KPIs.
• Lead taxonomy design for new category and market expansion with benchmarking.
• Maintain SOPs for Category Tree, Filter, and Attribute Governance.
• Serve as taxonomy contact for Category Management, Compliance, Marketing, and Support.
