Job description

Aquent is thrilled to partner with a leading global enterprise, a powerhouse in its industry, dedicated to innovation and operational excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic professional to join their team and play a pivotal role in shaping their Knowledge Management landscape. This is an incredible opportunity to drive significant impact, transform how critical information is organized and accessed, and contribute directly to the company’s strategic goals.

About the Role

Are you a hands-on expert passionate about connecting people with the knowledge they need to succeed? We are looking for a dedicated specialist to implement and sustain a robust Knowledge Management operating model. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating strategic vision into tangible, actionable plans, ensuring that vital information is not only accessible but also actively contributes to the efficiency and innovation across the organization. You will coordinate a complex roadmap, establish governance standards, facilitate crucial decisions, and drive the adoption of cutting-edge Knowledge Management practices, making a lasting impact on how teams collaborate and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the delivery of the Knowledge Management roadmap, encompassing content governance, operating-model implementation, enterprise tooling, migration, adoption, and ongoing sustainment.
  • Translate Knowledge Management strategy into actionable features, backlogs, milestones, requirements, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and comprehensive implementation plans.
  • Provide functional direction and priorities to operational support teams, developers, UX resources, change-management partners, and vendors.
  • Define and maintain rigorous standards for living knowledge, curated entry points, and controlled documents.
  • Establish practical governance frameworks for content ownership, review cycles, lifecycle status, metadata, permissions, archiving, and the resolution of duplicate or conflicting content.
  • Coordinate the implementation of selected enterprise Knowledge Management platforms, including use-case definition, content preparation, governance, testing, and rollout.
  • Lead content inventory and triage activities to strategically determine what content should be retained, migrated, converted, linked, improved, or retired.
  • Define information architecture, taxonomy, navigation, templates, and content patterns that significantly improve findability and usability.
  • Ensure content intended to support AI solutions has a clear owner, authoritative source, audience, lifecycle status, permissions, review date, and appropriate metadata.
  • Coordinate requirements for review and approval automation while technical resources perform configuration and development.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Knowledge Management guidance, training materials, communications, office hours, and adoption support.
  • Relaunch and sustain the Knowledge Management Champions network with clear roles, expectations, and escalation paths.
  • Partner with enterprise IT Knowledge Management teams to apply central standards while adapting implementation to specific business needs.
  • Maintain program-level reporting on roadmap progress, risks, decisions, content health, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish a sustainable operating and handoff model to ensure Knowledge Management practices continue effectively after initial implementation.
What You’ll Bring
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise knowledge management, content governance, information management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience translating a Knowledge Management strategy or operating model into practical processes, standards, roadmaps, and implementation activities.
  • Strong understanding of information architecture, taxonomy, metadata, content lifecycle management, ownership, permissions, and review processes.
  • Experience working with SharePoint and enterprise knowledge-base or collaboration platforms.
  • Strong program coordination and stakeholder-facilitation skills across business, technical, vendor, and leadership teams.
  • Ability to create clear requirements, priorities, governance materials, training content, and executive-level progress reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, resolve ambiguity, and drive work from strategy through implementation and adoption.
Stand Out With
  • Experience implementing or governing Bloomfire, Shelf, ServiceNow Knowledge Management, or a similar enterprise Knowledge Management platform.
  • Experience supporting AI-enabled enterprise search, retrieval-augmented generation, or knowledge-content readiness.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Power Automate, Azure DevOps, and Agile delivery practices.
