Company: ArgoIQ Irvine, CA (in-office / hybrid) | Part-time to start (20–25 hrs/week), path to full-time

Who We Are
ArgoIQ builds and runs growth systems for founder-led businesses — fleet and vehicle companies, service businesses, data and software companies. Our clients hire us to own their marketing engine end to end: outreach, nurture, website, and content. We are building the content function in-house rather than outsourcing it, and this is the first seat on that team.
The Role in One Sentence
You are the person who makes our clients visible — you curate, produce, and ship the content for a portfolio of ArgoIQ clients on a fixed weekly cadence, so their audiences hear from them every week without their founders having to think about it.
What We Actually Do
- Own the weekly content output for a set of assigned client accounts (start with 2–3, grow to 5–6 as you get faster).
- Curate: pull the raw material — founder clips, customer stories, job-site footage, product shots, industry news, existing long-form recordings — and decide what is worth publishing.
- Edit short-form video (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn video): cuts, captions, on-screen text, hooks, thumbnails.
- Write the words: hooks, captions, on-screen copy and short social posts, in each client's voice — not one generic house voice.
- Repurpose relentlessly — one interview or one delivery becomes a Reel, three photos, a LinkedIn post and a testimonial clip.
- Run the content calendar for every account: what ships, when, on which channel, what is still missing. It lives on the board, not in your head.
- Publish and schedule across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Keep the asset library organized so any clip, photo or logo for any client is findable in under a minute.
- Handle first-line engagement where clients ask for it — reply to comments and DMs and route real buying questions to the client the same day.
- Report weekly per account: pieces published, impressions, top performer, what you are changing next week. These numbers go straight into the client's accountability report.
Who This Is For
A college student, recent grad, or self-taught creator in the Irvine / Orange County area who already makes content — for themselves, a club, a team, or a side project — and wants real client work, real budgets, and real accountability instead of a coffee-run internship
What You Need
- A portfolio. Three to five things you shot and/or edited yourself. It does not need to be for a company.
- Fluency in at least one editing tool — CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci, Final Cut or equivalent — including captions, pacing, and clean text overlays.
- You know what is currently working on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn, and can explain why one hook beats another.
- Strong written English and a good ear for voice — you can write as a 55‑year‑old fleet owner and as a SaaS founder in the same afternoon.
- Organized enough to juggle several clients at once without dropping a publish date.
- Based in or near Irvine, CA, and able to work from the office part of the week.
Nice To Have
- Photography, basic color and audio cleanup
- Graphic design (Canva, Figma or Adobe)
- Any experience with AI tools for research, scripting, editing or repurposing — we use them heavily
How We Will Evaluate You (the traits that matter)
- Savvy — you spot the moment worth publishing before anyone hands you a shot list, and you know why it will land.
- Proactive — you show up Monday with every account's week planned.
- Reliable — the calendar publishes on time whether or not anyone checks on you. If something slips, we hear it from you first.
- Fast and iterative — ten good pieces this week beats one perfect piece next month.
- Problem solver — the client goes quiet, the footage is unusable, the interview cancels. You still ship that week.
- Client-ready — your work goes out under someone else's name and reputation. You treat it that way.
Your Week Looks Like
Monday: ( Plan) confirm each account's calendar for the week, flag any missing raw material, and chase it.
Tue–Wed: ( Produce) curate and edit — the bulk of the week's pieces get cut and captioned.
Wed–Thu: ( Publish) scheduled posts go live across each client's channels on the agreed cadence.
Daily ( Engage) comments and DMs where in scope; buying questions routed to the client same day.
Friday ( Report) per-account pieces published, impressions, top performer, next week's plan.
First 90 Days - What Success Looks Like
- Weeks 1–2: trained on our content system; calendars and asset libraries live for your first accounts; first pieces published.
- Day 30: consistent weekly publishing across every assigned account with zero missed weeks.
- Day 60: a documented set of repeatable formats per client that someone else could produce from.
- Day 90: carrying 4+ accounts, impressions trending up, and content is a line on the client report that never needs an excuse.
What Your Week Looks Like
- You own real client channels from week one, with the founder's ear.
- You will learn how a growth agency actually works — offers, funnels, outreach, retention — not just editing.
- Flexible hours around class, in-office in Irvine, with a clear path to full-time and to leading the content team as we add accounts.
- Your pay grows directly with the number of accounts you can carry well.
