Job summary

SolarWinds is seeking a Content Marketing Manager to join the Observability Demand Generation team. The role focuses on writing thoughtful content that drives engagement, retention, expansion, and advocacy across campaigns and customer marketing initiatives.

You will translate complex topics into accessible content, oversee content calendars, and collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and agencies to align messaging with brand guidelines. Strong SEO and AI-enabled content skills are a must.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a copywriter; digital focus a plus.
• Proven experience as a writer, Content Marketing Manager or similar role in a B2B or B2C environment.
• Familiarity with Generative AI tools for scalable content creation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of SEO and digital content optimization with familiarity of SEO tools (ahrefs, SEMrush, etc).
• Experience with CMS, marketing automation tools and project management software (like Asana).
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Background in IT software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Copywriting marketing content for banner ads, website landing pages, and more.
• Oversee and manage the customer content journey for SolarWinds Observability across stages.
• Manage the content calendar for the Observability Expand Demand Generation team.
• Create compelling content (email, PPC, event copy, landing pages) to support full-funnel campaigns.
• Build a repeatable content repurposing framework for pillar assets.
• Develop content series and editorial calendars balancing evergreen content with timely commentary on market shifts
• Leverage generative AI tools to assist in content creation and shaping drafts
• Align messaging with brand guidelines and personas
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure content supports campaigns and launches
• Monitor content performance metrics and apply data-driven optimizations
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to improve content relevance
