Job summary

Garmin International seeks a full-time Content Marketing Specialist at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will create original blog content and translate Garmin products into accessible stories, contributing to the Garmin.com blog in line with marketing objectives.

You will write for traditional media and digital outlets, manage content from idea to publication, and collaborate with colleagues to maximize readership while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, or related field and 2+ years of demonstrated professional experience as a journalist, communications strategist, marketing specialist, writer, or content curator.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work proactively and with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to write and edit both long and short form content.
• Understanding of content marketing strategy and implementation.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience optimizing content with GEO/SEO and Google Analytics in mind.
• Strong passion for Garmin business and products.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Sprinklr, WordPress or other CMS.

Responsibilities

• Develop original concepts for Garmin blog posts to attract customers.
• Oversee a story idea from conception to publication, coordinating with departments.
• Select topics aligned with Garmin’s marketing objectives to attract readership.
• Analyze and optimize content for search performance.
• Interview internal and external sources and develop stories following AP style.
• Manage Garmin.com blog content library for accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate on integrated campaigns across blog, PR, social and email.
• Handle multiple time-sensitive projects with prioritization.
• Perform additional Garmin.com duties as assigned by Content Marketing Manager.
