Job description

Content Manager - Run My Business

Berlin, Germany · Office-first setup

Team description

SumUp's Run My Business team builds the tools that help everyday business owners manage payments, finance, and customer relationships, all from one app used by millions of merchants worldwide. As Content Manager, you'll become the central reference point for product messaging, helping teams across Lifecycle, Sales, and Online Marketing turn product benefits into clear, compelling content for every channel. It's a role with real ownership: you'll set the standards for product storytelling, work closely with Design and Localisation, and help shape how SumUp's story reaches customers as the product line keeps growing.

What you'll do
  • Create and maintain product narratives, messaging frameworks, content guidelines, and product documentation that establish a single source of truth for how we talk about our products. Educate internal teams and provide a consistent foundation for content across channels, including retail, website, sales materials, and product communications.
  • Audit customer-facing copy across the website and product communications, maintaining and QAing existing content while partnering with the Content Guild to improve quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Contribute to product storytelling through merchant interviews, visits, and other firsthand research, translating customer insights into clear and compelling product narratives.
  • Own and maintain product webpage content, track performance, and identify optimisation opportunities based on competitor analysis and merchant insights.
  • Partner with Design on sales and marketing materials, ensuring messaging and visuals work together to communicate product value clearly and consistently across relevant touchpoints.
What we’re looking for
  • Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills that turn product benefits into clear, convincing narratives.
  • Track record of building and maintaining content guidelines, messaging frameworks, or documentation that act as a trusted source of truth for other teams.
  • Experience turning competitive and consumer research into clear, well reasoned content decisions.
  • Comfort briefing and working closely with design teams, co owning the point where messaging and visuals meet.
  • Ability to translate complex product and brand information into practical, actionable guidance for non content teams such as sales and growth.
Why you should join SumUp
  • Opportunity to work with SumUppers globally on large-scale fintech products used by millions of businesses worldwide, from our Berlin office. This involves an office-first setup
  • Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: be part of a workplace that values and promotes diversity, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone's perspectives are respected and embraced
  • Enrolment onto our Virtual Stock Option programme: you will own a stake in SumUp's future success
  • A dedicated annual L&D budget of €2000 for your individual development, which can be used to attend conferences and/or advance your career through further education
  • A corporate pension scheme where we match up to 20% of your contributions
  • Generous time off: enjoy 28 days of paid leave plus public holidays and special leave days
  • Numerous other benefits such as Urban Sports Club subsidy, Kita placement assistance, subsidised office lunches
  • Break4me: 1-month sabbatical after 3 years of service
  • Referral Bonus: earn additional rewards by referring talented individuals to join the SumUp team
