Job summary

Arc is hiring a Content Lead to define how the world sees electric maritime. You’ll set the roadmap and ship the work, partnering with Brand, Creative, and Growth. You’ll balance consumer and commercial narratives, turning technical milestones into compelling stories while moving fast in a dynamic startup environment.

You’ll report to the Head of Marketing in a small, fast-moving team where the impact is visible and meaningful. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Torrance headquarters.

Qualifications

• 5+ years creating content for a brand with a technical, complex, or category-defining product.
• A portfolio showing real range, sharp writing, strong creative direction, and pieces that broke through.
• Experience owning voice and editorial strategy across multiple audiences, ideally spanning consumer and technical/B2B content.
• Strong editorial judgment to decide what’s worth shipping.
• Experience directing and briefing freelance or contract talent, not just producing everything yourself.
• A bias for shipping: publish, learn, and iterate rather than wait for perfection.
• Comfortable moving fast when priorities shift and people wear multiple hats.

Responsibilities

• Owning the editorial calendar and content roadmap end to end, from strategy to what ships.
• Setting the voice and point of view for Arc for boat owners and commercial partners.
• Producing and directing content across long-form, video, social, scripts, web, and campaign assets.
• Briefing and managing freelance contractors to maintain quality and speed.
• Partnering with Creative on production and with Brand on positioning to reflect company direction.
• Shaping product marketing narrative by turning launches and milestones into engaging stories.
• Watching content performance and moving fast to scale successful formats.
