SCOPE OF POSITION:
Responsible for creating engaging and relevant communications content across multiple platforms to support AFMCs communications strategy. Platforms include but are not limited to AFMC public-facing website, blog posts, social media, employee intranet, and other electronic and digital communications intended for internal and external target audiences. Also responsible for comprehensive proposal content development to secure funding for organizational programs and projects. This role demands a high-level of creativity, research proficiency, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Physical and Sensory Requirements (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices): Mobility, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, ability to read and write, ability to communicate with personnel and ability to remain calm under stress. EDUCATION: Required : Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, advertising, marketing, public relations, or related field. Health Literacy Certification
EXPERIENCE: Required : Minimum of three (3) years of professional writing experience (journalism, corporate communications, technical writing, copywriting, public relations, etc.), and research experience. Experience with content management systems, website content development and social media channels.
Desirable : Preferred qualifications include experience in health care content development, technical writing, or marketing/communication agencies.
INTERNET REQUIREMENTS: Reliable, high-speed wireless internet service (Wi-Fi)
