Job summary

OnX is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the Content Data Platform team, owning data infrastructure for maps and content lifecycle. You’ll guide data engineers and geospatial analysts, partnering with data delivery and vertical product teams to deliver reliable, high-quality content for hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts.

We value experience migrating to modern infrastructure, strong hiring instincts, and the ability to influence across a matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience directly managing software engineers.
• Experience leading data platforms or data infrastructure systems.
• Experience migrating from legacy systems to modern infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Content Data Platform team and data infrastructure lifecycle.
• Drive delivery of Content Foundation roadmap and data ingestion platform.
• Hire and mentor engineers; foster healthy team culture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Establish production reliability practices and SLOs.
• Translate strategy into engineering direction; communicate value to stakeholders.
