Job summary

onXmaps, Inc. is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the Content Data Platform team in Bozeman, Montana. This role involves managing a cross-functional team and overseeing the engineering of the data infrastructure that enhances onX's maps.

The candidate should have at least five years of experience in leading software engineers and a proven track record in building data infrastructure systems. An understanding of operational excellence and effective communication is vital for success in this role.

Qualifications

• At least five (5) years of experience directly managing software engineers.
• Proven experience leading teams building data platform or data infrastructure systems.
• Experience leading a team through migration off a legacy system to modern infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Content Data Platform team responsible for data infrastructure.
• Support teammates with individual goal-setting and mentoring.
• Drive delivery of the Content Foundation roadmap with the Data Engineering team.
• Build and sustain a healthy team culture on ownership and collaboration.
• Own operational excellence in production reliability practices.
• Translate business strategy into clear engineering direction.
• Serve as the engineering interface for vertical product teams.
