Siemens AG is seeking a Content Creator in Chicago to craft and maintain internal and customer-facing documentation for a global project. You will work with developers, testers, product managers, and editors to bridge the gap between code and knowledge, automating access to information for users and AI agents.

You’ll define workflows, stay current with publishing trends, and ensure quality across distributed teams while contributing to SAFe sprint activities and tooling adoption.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical writing.
• Degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience leveraging CMS/CDP platforms and AI-driven technologies.
• Writing, editing, and proofreading with focus on clarity and usability.
• Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Product, Support, and Marketing to deliver user-focused documentation.

As a Content Creator for a global organization, you will collaborate with developers, testers, product managers, and other subject matter experts to create and maintain internal and customer-facing content for a global project with distributed teams.

As a Content Creator, you will:

• Within the framework of global team coordination within technical documentation, support innovative, efficiency-enhancing measures using AI and other efficiency-boosting measures in coordination with the editorial teams at other locations
• Help define, implement, and continuously optimize workflows aligned with product and engineering practices (e.g., Agile, Git, Markdown), while enhancing the editorial work environment in collaboration with global team.
• Be familiar with the principles and tools used in topic-based authoring and structured writing. You will be expected to stay current on the latest technical documentation trends and technologies,
• Collaborate with the global technical documentation organization in ensuring compliance with standards and driving quality measures.
• Develop and implement new documentation and information concepts for the creation and maintenance of our documents.
• Identify user needs and support the team to design and implement documentation projects based on standards, style guides, and best practices to ensure the highest quality and consistency.
• Show proficiency in documentation tools (Markdown, Git, CMS platforms) and strong understanding of software development lifecycles as a member of SAFe/Scaled Agile sprint teams
• Collaborate with developers, testers, product managers, and other subject matter experts to create and maintain internal and customer-facing content for a global project with distributed teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years in technical writing

• Experience leveraging CMS/CDP platforms and AI-driven technologies,
• Must be able to demonstrate:
• Writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on clarity, quality, usability, and user-centered design
• Interpersonal and project management abilities, with a proven track record of collaborating effectively with Engineering, Product, Support, and Marketing to deliver accurate, user-focused documentation; able to communicate clearly across varying levels of technical expertise with a goal-oriented mindset

The pay range for this position is $60,333 - $103,428 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
