Job summary

One River School of Art + Design is seeking a Contemporary Art Teacher for PreK-2 in Manhasset, NY. You will lead engaging weekly art classes, introducing young students to contemporary art through hands-on projects and studio-style learning.

What You'll Do

• Lead dynamic, hands-on weekly art classes for PreK-2 students - Classes run weekday and Saturday mornings and afternoons.
• Explore contemporary approaches across painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, mixed media, and 3D work
• Encourage experimentation, creative risk-taking, and big imaginative thinking
• Create "WOW moments" that build confidence and artistic voice
• Connect thoughtfully with families about student growth and creative breakthroughs

• A practicing or highly engaged artist with at least 1 year of teaching experience
