Job summary

Wilsonart International is seeking a production worker to ensure continuous operation of the rolling and production line. The role includes inspecting materials, threading machines, setting up rolls for crews, and maintaining accurate paperwork.

Candidates should be prepared for heavy physical work and long shifts. Minimum education is High School Diploma or GED with 6 months Contech experience; or 1 year in Phenolic/Core areas.

Qualifications

• Operation of equipment and machinery in a safe manner.
• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to Production areas and related rules/regulations governing work standards.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily inventory needs from Phenolic Checker or Team Lead.
• Visually inspect rolls for damage and discard damaged paper to waste channel.
• Monitor raw materials for quality and alignment; adjust as needed.
• Thread machine and re-thread; change pallets and attach tags to pallets.
• Ensure all computer work and paperwork are completed.
• Set up rolls for oncoming crew.
• Maintain regular attendance.

Make sure machine is running properly at all times. This opening is for D1.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :• Obtain daily inventory needs from Phenolic Checker or Team Lead• Visually inspect rolls for damage, discard any damaged paper in the appropriate waste can• Continually monitor raw materials for visual quality and line-up, make any necessary adjustments• Thread machine up; make splices and re-thread machine as needed• Change out pallets and make sure corresponding tags are placed in each completed pallet• Make sure all computer work and paper work is completed• Set up rolls for oncoming crew• Regular Attendance RequiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:• Operation of equipment and machinery in a safe manner.• Knowledge of the safety standards applicable to the Production areas and other pertinent rules / regulations governing work standards.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION: High School Graduate or GEDEXPERIENCE: Have at least 6 months Contech experience. If no applicants possess, the company will accept one (1) year experience in Phenolic/Core area.WORKING CONDITIONS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Heavy work.
