Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and launch containerized power generation solutions for data centers. You will own mechanical packaging, enclosure design, and integration with large diesel engines and generators, ensuring manufacturability and serviceability across a growing product line.

Responsibilities include 3D modelling, drafting, and collaboration with electrical and thermal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive mechanical development design experience.
• 2+ years of 3D CAD software experience and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design containerized and modular power generation solutions for data center backup and prime power applications.
• Develop 3D models, detailed drawings, assemblies, and manufacturing documentation.
• Design and integrate enclosures, power modules, ISO container-based systems, and supporting mechanical packages.
• Perform structural, thermal, and emission-related calculations to ensure reliability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated solutions.
