Republic Services, Inc. in Inver Grove Heights, MN is seeking a Container Welder/Fabricator to repair, weld, paint and maintain containers and roll-off boxes.

You will MIG/ARC weld steel and aluminum, fabricate parts with brakes and shears, cut with plasma, and apply decals while following safety rules and completing paperwork. Qualified candidates are certified welders with 1+ year experience or welding program completion, and must have strong communication skills and the ability to work with

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year welding experience or completion of a welding program.
• Certified welder with advanced knowledge of MIG, stick welders, plasma cutter, and paint sprayers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to follow directions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of front, rear and roll-off containers.
• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricate steel components using brake and shear; cut steel with plasma cutter or torch.
• Paint repaired containers and install lids and wheels; apply decals per diagrams.
• Complete required paperwork and adhere to safety policies.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:* Performs repairs and maintenance on front, rear and roll-off containers* Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding Equipment.* Fabricates steel components using a brake and shear.* Cuts steel using a plasma cutter or torch.* Fabricates steel components for hoppers, containers and compactors.* Installs lids and wheels on containers.* Paints repaired containers.* Follows all safety policies and procedures.* Completes required paperwork.* Install company and safety decals in accordance with company standard diagram on containers and roll-off boxes.* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.* Refer more complex repairs to the Supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS:* Certified welder.* Advanced knowledge of mig &stick welders, plasma cutter, and airless paint Sprayers.
